It just feels much better this way! I didn't intend to do that, initially the picture was just the handing girl but then (in typical fashion) I realised I had a character on a blank white background and was at a complete loss what to have her hanging from, so I dragged the odd tree back again. I like the extra detail compared to the previous picture but I can't help thinking that this cleaner image has lost something and I can't put my finger on what. Whatever it is, I have decided not to get (any more) obsessive about it as it's already pushing 3am! (Urgh... The rest of the picture just grew up around it. I'm not convinced I like the final version but I do like the shrunk down thumbnail version. After that I added the fuzzy outline one a whim. The progression to multiple rainbow-coloured blocks with different expressions seemed fairly natural at that point. I didn't consciously make all the expressions so off-kilter (at least at first), they just came out that way...
